Determination of Physical Workload and the Ideal Number of Workers in Arsy Bakery using Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Method

Arsy Bakery is one of the MSMEs located in Karang Joang, Balikpapan. This bakery produces five types bread: white bread, sweat mocha cheese chocolate and three-flavored bread. could produce approximately 4000 loaves bread weekly. study aims to calculate quantity physical workload workers based on Full Time Equivalent (FTE) method determine ideal number required. FTE a analysis that measures length time complete tasks production process. The for every worker obtained measurements calculation results. Based results this study, amount carried out by Worker 1 1.67, meanwhile 2 1.60. These values show both can be categorized as overload. total value two 3.27 which means there should 3 employees finish tasks. In conclusion, needs recruit new employee reduce high current employees.
